Fragile Ego, Hollow Leadership: Trump’s Inauguration Charade —
Trump’s character, or lack thereof, reveals itself in moments like these.
I have to jump into the fray about the Inauguration’s January surprise.
Let’s be honest, we know that Trump’s decision to move his inauguration indoors isn’t about concern for the well-being of others—it’s about protecting his super fragile ego. This is a man who, time and again, has lied to preserve an image of dominance and adoration at the expense of truth and human decency.
Think about his 2017 inauguration. Despite clear photographic evidence showing a smaller turnout than Barack Obama’s in 2009, Trump and his minions insisted it was “the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period.” Sure, Jan. Trump sent aides scrambling to support this crowd size falsehood, even pressuring the National Park Service to provide photos that might bolster his delusion. It wasn’t about facts; it was about his thin-skinned pride. It always is.
And now? He’s moving the ceremony indoors, citing the cold. Ok. This is the same man who held rally after rally outdoors in scorching heat, with little regard for the safety of his own supporters. People literally fainted in the sweltering sun, struggled to breathe in poorly ventilated arenas, and some were left stranded in freezing temperatures. Where was his concern for their comfort or safety then? It was non-existent.
The inauguration committee’s change of heart is about damage control, not weather. Trump knows his crowd size this time around won’t match his ego’s needs. The limited capacity of the Capitol Rotunda gives him the perfect excuse to avoid the embarrassment of empty spaces without having to defend his relentless narrative that the space (any space) was packed to capacity.
Many non-MAGA Americans recognize this as yet another calculated move to manipulate appearances—just the latest chapter in his ongoing performance of self-aggrandizement and a another glaring example of his profound lack of character.
Character, at its core, is defined by integrity, accountability, and the ability to act in the best interests of others, even when it’s difficult or inconvenient.
Trump’s actions demonstrate an alarming lack of these qualities. A man who cares so deeply about his crowd size but so little about the people standing in those crowds doesn’t deserve the pedestal he demands. His lies about his inauguration are just another reflection of his deep insecurity, his inability to lead with truth, and his willingness to use people as props to stroke his own ego.
The next four years are going to be hard. Stand strong and speak truth to power.
So so true. It’s all about the appearance of things, not the inner meaning. Fake man
Trump has no soul.
